Nia for Tots ~ A Mommie & Me Creative Movement Class

Offered as part of the regular NiaMoves' class pass, registered to the parent or caregiver

Nia for Tots is an opportunity for your child to experience the joy of movement. Parents are encouraged to participate with their children.  We play with guided and non-guided movement, beats, sounding, and more!  Nia for Tots is not a performance based class. Children are welcome and encouraged to participate in a way that feels comfortable to them.

Infants are welcome to participate by dancing with a parent.

Overture ~ Music for Young Children

Introduces children, from birth to 7 years old, to folk and classical music, tuneful and healthy singing, rhythmic sensitivity, and creative expression through songs, chants, drumming, live professional performances, and dance.

Kids and Family Yoga Classes

FALL Kid Only Yoga Classes

Children aged 4 - 9. Mondays 5:15-6 pm.  Students are introduced to breathing practices, body postures and relaxation. Children relate to postures in yoga by the imaginative and fun exploration of animals and nature.

Children aged 10 on up, Mondays 6-7 pm.  This semester the focus will be on the 7 energy centers/chakras in the body. Students will learn how open these centers to empower themselves and feel good by specific asana/yoga poses, pranayama/breathing exercises, chants, relaxation and meditation.

FALL Family Yoga Class

Children aged 10 and up, Tuesdays 5-6 pm. This semester the focus will be on the 7 energy centers/chakras in the body. Students will learn how open these centers to empower themselves and feel good by specific asana/yoga poses, pranayama/breathing exercises, chants, relaxation and meditation.

Ma Daivi Nithya (known also as Su Marshman) is a certified early childhood and special education educator who discovered yoga in 1995, studying with Robert Boustany in Houston. She continues to grow by the blessings of her spiritual teacher, Paramahamsa Nithyananda. Combining her love for children, her pedagogical skills and love for yoga, she began teaching Kid Yoga in 1999 with her 3-year-old daughter Amora (who still practices!). Daivi teaches kids, ages three and up, at various local yoga studios, schools and privates homes around Houston.
