ZUMBA - Latin Dance Fitness

The Zumba Schedule at NiaMoves
ZUMBA combines high energy and motivating music with unique moves and combinations that allow the ZUMBA participants
to dance away their worries. It is based on the principle that a workout should be "FUN AND EASY TO DO" allowing
ZUMBA participants to stick to the ZUMBA Fitness program and achieve long-term health benefits. ZUMBA is a "feel-happy"
workout that is great for both the body and the mind. ZUMBA is a fusion of Latin and International music - dance themes
that create a dynamic, exciting, effective fitness system! The routines feature aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination
of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body. ZUMBA utilizes the principles of fitness interval training and resistance
training to maximize caloric output, fat burning and total body toning. It is a mixture of body sculpting movements with easy
to follow dance steps.

By June of 2007, even my "big" clothes were uncomfortable. I had to do something. Joining a gym and working out
on machines was not for me. A friend suggested Nia Moves. I picked up a schedule; Aero-Latin and ZUMBA sounded interesting.
On Monday, June 4th, I showed up for the Aero-Latin class and was immediately made to feel welcomed. Since I'm over 50,
I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to keep up or that afterwards I'd be so sore I couldn't move but I went
through the workout and surprisingly was not sore. I asked about ZUMBA and was told that if I could keep up with the pace
of Aero-Latin, I could do ZUMBA. That Thursday I went to ZUMBA. Since that first week I've been hooked on Aero-Latin and
ZUMBA. I look forward to exercising-who knew a workout could be so much fun. I feel renewed and invigorated. I'm also
about 25 pounds lighter and 2 sizes smaller! ~ Holly D. 11/1/07
